DELIVERING ENERGY EFFICIENCY SOLUTIONS

FOR A SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

We’ve very much appreciated the patience of the hundreds of City stakeholders, managers, and directors and the 5,000 - 7,000 occupants of the facilities who have been directly affected by this project. These construction works occurred at (92) City facilities across the island from Waianae to Waimanalo, Kapolei to Kahuku, and Honolulu to Haleiwa, implementing critical energy and cost savings improvements.

Major Initiative at City & County buildings will cut costs, create jobs & climate action results.

  • Energy efficiency improvements to upgrade the city’s buildings and facilities infrastructure are 100% paid for through utility bill savings, with millions of dollars left over for the city to repurpose for other community needs.

  • Savings are guaranteed by the contractor Johnson Controls, and are financed through a third party, resulting in zero out of pocket spending by the city or taxpayers.

  • Beyond the environmental benefits, this project created hundreds of local jobs and contribute to Oʻahu’s economic recovery.

Our Mission:

FUTURE.

Efficiency is important to serve the public, old systems are expensive to maintain and collectively consume a significant amount of energy. New systems will increase efficiency of facilities by reducing energy consumption, water usage and demand on utilities.

Johnson Controls and the City are working together to achieve this vision to deliver the latest technology of energy conservation solutions to a green city.

Provide cost savings to taxpayers, on City’s Utility bill through increased energy efficiency. Reduce carbon emissions associated with global warming and other pollutants in line with the City’s newly-adopted Climate Action Plan.
